Van Driver - Darlington - Ongoing Work
We are currently recruiting for a Van Driver to join our client, a well-established furniture superstore based in Darlington.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and customer-focused Van Driver looking for ongoing work. The assignment is expected to last 6 to 12 weeks, with the potential for longer-term opportunities for the right candidate.
The Role:
· Driving a large van fitted with a tail lift.
· Delivering furniture to customer's homes in a safe and professional manner.
· Collecting furniture and transporting it back to the warehouse.
· Loading and unloading furniture safely and securely.
· Assisting with general warehouse duties when required.
· Providing outstanding customer service and representing both the Client and The Best Connection professionally at all times.
· Heavy lifting is involved, so this role is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on working environment.
The Candidate:
· Previous experience as a Van Driver or driving large vans is desirable.
· Full UK Category B driving licence.
· Friendly, polite and professional with an excellent customer-focused attitude.
· Strong communication skills and a positive work ethic.
· Comfortable carrying out manual handling duties.
· Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team.
Hours of Work:
· Monday to Thursday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
· Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
Pay Rate:
· £12.71 per hour
