£38.49k - £46.85k per annum

Job summary
Are you passionate about clinical research and improving the lives of people affected by dementia? Do you enjoy working with patients and the public, building relationships, and being part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team?

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Research Practitioner to join the internationally renowned Dementia Research Centre (DRC) Clinical Trials Team at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN).

The DRC is internationally recognised for delivering pioneering dementia research, with an extensive portfolio of commercial and academic clinical trials across Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal dementia and other neurodegenerative disorders. Our studies include early-phase first-in-human therapies, disease-modifying treatments and prevention trials, offering participants access to some of the most innovative research in the field.

We are looking for a proactive, organised and compassionate individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who enjoys working directly with patients and their families. The successful candidate will be able to manage a varied workload, work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and demonstrate a keen interest in clinical research.

This vacancy may close before the current listed closing date. You are advised not to delay submitting your completed application.

Main duties of the job
The primary focus of this role is participant recruitment and clinical trial delivery. You will play an important role in identifying and recruiting participants into research studies by responding to enquiries, attending cognitive clinics, undertaking pre-screening activities and supporting the informed consent process.

Working closely with clinicians, research nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate study visits, perform study procedures appropriate to your training, collect high-quality research data and ensure studies are delivered safely and efficiently in accordance with study protocols and Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP).

The successful candidate will build positive relationships with research participants and their families, contribute to the smooth running of a varied portfolio of clinical trials, and help ensure an excellent participant experience throughout their research journey.
