As a Cover Supervisor , you will deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and on task. You will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning and promoting positive behaviour across the school. Key Responsibilities * Supervise whole classes during teacher absences using pre-set lesson plans
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies
* Ensure pupils remain engaged and complete the work provided
* Support students with their learning and respond to questions where appropriate
* Create a calm, positive, and productive learning environment
* Take attendance and report any issues to relevant staff members
* Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil engagement and lesson outcomes
* Support students across a range of subjects and year groups
* Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times Requirements * Previous experience working with children or young people
* Strong communication and classroom management skills
* Confident leading groups of students independently
* Ability to remain calm, professional, and adaptable
* Positive attitude and enthusiasm for supporting education
* Reliable, organised, and proactive approach Desirable * Experience working in a school setting
* Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Sports Coach, or Youth Worker
* Degree-level education or current studies towards a degree
* Understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management practices
