We are currently recruiting Catering Assistants for an immediate start in Newry .
Pay Rates
- £12.71 per hour Monday to Friday
- £17.92 per hour Saturday
- £23.26 per hour Sunday
Available Shifts
Catering Assistant – 32.5 Hours per Week
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30am – 2:30pm and 10:00am – 5:00pm
Catering Assistant – 32.5 Hours per Week
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30am – 2:30pm and 1:00pm – 8:00pm
- Occasional weekend work required
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation and service of food and beverages
- Serving customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Replenishing food, beverages, condiments and supplies as required
- Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen, dining and service areas
- Clearing tables and ensuring dining areas are kept tidy
- Following all food hygiene, health & safety and infection control procedures
- Assisting with stock rotation and storage of deliveries
- Ensuring all equipment is cleaned and stored correctly after use
Dishwashing Duties
- Loading and unloading commercial dishwashers
- Refilling dishwasher chemicals and cleaning products as required
- Emptying and cleaning dishwashers at the end of service
- Washing pots, pans, utensils and catering equipment
- Ensuring crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment are cleaned to required standards
- Maintaining a clean and organised wash-up area
- Reporting any equipment faults or maintenance issues
Requirements
- Previous catering experience is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment
- Good understanding of hygiene and health & safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work
