What will you be doing?

• Welcoming guests and providing friendly, helpful service throughout their stay
• Assisting guests with their luggage on arrival and departure
• Transporting cases safely and efficiently to and from guest bedrooms
• Helping guests find their rooms and providing assistance where required
• Supporting the Reception team during busy arrival and departure periods
• Assisting guests with any reasonable requests to help make their stay as comfortable as possible
• Handling guests’ belongings with care and ensuring luggage is kept secure
• Helping to keep entrances, reception areas and luggage storage areas clean, tidy and organised
• Working closely with other hotel departments to ensure a smooth guest experience
• Following company Health & Safety procedures, particularly when lifting and moving luggage
• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards or guest concerns to the appropriate member of the hotel team
• Providing a friendly and professional service that reflects Daish’s values
• Carrying out any other reasonable duties required to support the hotel team

• Comfortable being on your feet and carrying/lifting guests’ luggage safely
• Able to work efficiently during busy arrival and departure periods
• A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
• Polite and respectful when dealing with guests, colleagues and other members of the public
• Able to follow instructions and company procedures
• Good awareness of Health & Safety, particularly when handling luggage
• Flexible and willing to support other areas of the hotel when required
• Previous hotel or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential, as full support and training will be provided

Hours

The role will include working weekends and bank holidays, particularly during busy arrival and departure days.

Our hotels operate around guest arrival and departure days, with cases needing to be moved efficiently while still allowing you plenty of time to provide a friendly and helpful service. Flexibility is important as the role may involve supporting the hotel at different times depending on guest requirements.
