This is a small, warm, and structured independent special school based in the heart of Ashburton, Devon. The school supports young people who have struggled to engage with mainstream or other alternative education, using a project-based curriculum built around the creative and expressive arts.

● Provide in-class support to individual learners and small groups, adapting approaches to each young person's needs

● Support the delivery of creative, academic, and vocational learning activities

● Build trusting, consistent relationships with learners to support engagement and re-engagement with education

● Assist with the implementation of individual education and support plans, working closely with teaching staff, families, and external professionals

● Support learners' social, emotional, and behavioural development in a calm, structured way

● Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-organised learning environment

● Uphold the school's safeguarding policies and procedures at all times

● Experience working with young people (school, alternative provision, youth work, or similar setting)

● A patient, flexible, and creative approach to supporting learners who may need extra reassurance and consistency

● Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
