EYFS Teaching Assistant
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Salary: £83 - £100 per day
Start Date: September 2024 Contract Type: Full-Time GSL Education are currently in search of an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant for an Alternative Provision located in York, North Yorkshire , starting in September 2024 . This presents a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant keen on personal and professional growth within a supportive role. EYFS Teaching Assistant Responsibilities: * Assist the class teacher in addressing the educational and social needs of students.
* Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with complex needs.
* Emphasize the development of social skills during lessons, exercise, and group sessions, focusing on life and communication skills as per the students' needs.
* Collaborate with a lead teacher to support two vulnerable and complex learners.
* Contribute to planning and preparing learning activities, resources, and materials for the EYFS curriculum.
* Assist in assessments and maintain records of each child's development and learning. Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant Requirements: * Encouragement for aspiring Pastoral Workers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, SALTs, Counsellors, and Social Workers.
* Previous experience in a school support role or relevant child-related experience.
* Display a caring and professional demeanor, willing to assist with the personal care of pupils.
* Must possess the legal right to work in the UK.
* Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL Education.
