Role Overview

As School Caretaker, you will help ensure that the school's buildings, grounds and facilities remain safe, secure and well maintained. You will carry out regular inspections, complete minor repairs, identify potential hazards and report maintenance issues requiring further attention.

You will also assist with preparing rooms for school activities, moving furniture and equipment, maintaining outdoor areas and supporting contractors when required. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with opening and securing the school premises when required.

• Carry out routine inspections of buildings, classrooms and external areas.

• Complete minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.

• Identify and report faults, damage and potential hazards.

• Check doors, windows, locks and access points.

• Maintain tidy corridors, entrances and communal areas.

• Assist with preparing rooms for meetings and school activities.

• Move furniture, equipment and supplies safely.

• Monitor the condition of outdoor areas, pathways and entrances.

• Assist with deliveries and the movement of materials.

• Support authorised contractors attending the premises.
