History Teacher
Location: Wheatley, OX33

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and passionate History Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school, where you'll inspire students to explore the past, develop critical thinking skills, and foster a lifelong interest in history.
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons, helping students understand historical events, cultures, and societies while encouraging them to become confident, analytical learners.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive History lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
* Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, discussion, and independent thinking.
* Assess, monitor, and record students' progress, using assessment data to inform planning and support individual learning needs.
* Encourage students to develop strong analytical, research, and source evaluation skills through a range of historical topics.
* Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations in line with the school's behaviour policy.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student progress and wellbeing.
* Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times. Requirements * Passionate about delivering high-quality History education.

* A confident and effective classroom practitioner with excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Able to inspire students through creative teaching and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject.
