The Role – What You’ll Do

Deliver engaging and well-structured Business lessons across KS4–KS5 , ensuring lessons meet current specification standards (AQA/Edexcel).

Use effective assessment for learning , feedback, and data-driven strategies to ensure exceptional progress.

Support enrichment initiatives such as Young Enterprise , entrepreneurship clubs , and guest speaker events .

Contribute to curriculum development, exam preparation, and departmental planning.

Maintain high expectations for student engagement, progress, and behaviour.

Play an active role in the wider school community, supporting open days , Sixth Form events , and careers guidance .

Person Specification

Essential

Degree in Business or a closely related field.

QTS/PGCE (or equivalent) with experience teaching at KS4 and/or KS5.

Strong subject knowledge in key Business areas such as marketing, finance, and strategy.

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Commitment to safeguarding , inclusion, and pupil wellbeing.

Desirable

Experience teaching AQA or Edexcel at GCSE/A-Level.

Evidence of raising attainment and delivering excellent outcomes.

Experience leading enterprise or enrichment programmes .

Willingness to contribute to Economics or related subject areas.
