About the Service The Burnside Court service provides care and support within an accommodation-based setting, for 5 individuals who have additional support requirements. The individuals we support have a wide range of needs and abilities and we work in a person-centred way to assist them to achieve their outcomes. About the Role As a Support Worker you will: Deliver a high standard of care for individuals, in-line with their outcome plansProvide holistic daily living support to individuals; including assistance with cooking, cleaning, budgeting and personal care
Provide support and encouragement to enable individuals to participate in and enjoy leisure, social, and other meaningful activities
Work with other agencies and professionals to ensure the best opportunities are available to individuals in matters of health, finances, well-being and education
Work in a way that aligns with the Hillcrest values of: Inclusion, Respect, Excellence & Innovation; and follow best practice guidance, Policies & Procedures, and standards set by other agencies (such as Care Inspectorate and Scottish Social Services Council) About You You will: Have a positive attitude, flexible approach, good communication skills and share the ethos of the organisation in its aim of “helping people live better lives”.
Have some previous care experience or at least be able to demonstrate transferrable skills relating to care, such as compassion, empathy, patience, adaptability and reliability.
Hold, or be willing to undertake study to achieve, SVQ2 Health & Social Care.
Be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post About the Benefits 32 days minimum annual leave (based on full time hours)
