A highly supportive specialist primary school in Manchester (M18 7AJ) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Primary Teacher to join its experienced team. The Opportunity
As an SEN Primary Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and accessible learning experiences that enable pupils to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Working alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team, you will support pupils with varying learning profiles while fostering a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Support pupils' academic, social, emotional, and personal development
- Monitor progress and contribute to assessments, reviews, and EHCP documentation
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, families, and external professionals
- Promote independence, communication, confidence, and positive attitudes towards learning
- Adapt teaching approaches to ensure all pupils can access and engage with the curriculum
About You, To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Previous experience working within a special school or specialist SEND provision
- Experience teaching within a primary-age setting
- Strong knowledge of a range of SEND needs, including autism and complex learning difficulties
- Experience adapting teaching strategies to meet individual pupil needs
- Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
- A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children with additional needs
