Indirect Tax Assistant Manager - Advisory
Location: Bristol | Hybrid Working
Are you an Indirect Tax professional looking to focus on advisory work rather than compliance?
A leading professional services firm is seeking an Indirect Tax Assistant Manager to join its growing VAT Advisory team. Working with a diverse portfolio of clients, from ambitious SMEs to multinational groups, you'll advise on complex UK and international VAT issues while building long-term client relationships.
The Role
You'll be involved in a broad range of advisory projects, including:
- Providing UK and international VAT advice.
- Supporting transactions, restructures and business changes.
- Advising on cross-border trade, VAT recovery and technical issues.
- Assisting clients with HMRC enquiries and risk management.
- Identifying opportunities to add value through proactive tax planning.
- Mentoring junior team members and supporting business development.
About You
You'll ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA, ATT or CTA qualification (or be studying towards one).
- Experience in Indirect Tax within practice or industry.
- Strong UK VAT technical knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills and a commercial approach.
- A genuine interest in developing your advisory career.
