The Role Glamour is looking for a Lifestyle Content Creator & Writer to deliver relatable, entertaining and inspiring lifestyle content across the brand’s digital platforms. The role will be split across creating written copy for the site and video content for social. The successful candidate will be brimming with story ideas and have a natural instinct for what our audience wants to read, watch and share. They will be an excellent writer with a distinctive voice, able to turn around clean, engaging copy in a fast-paced digital environment. They will be comfortable working under pressure to tight deadlines, highly collaborative and have a strong understanding of Glamour’s tone of voice and audience. This role is a 12 month fixed-term contract and reports to the Digital Director, Glamour. What will you be doing? Pitch 3–5 original web and social-first concepts daily, including formats and series for TikTok, Instagram and other platforms spanning beauty, wellness, culture and fashion, with a strong understanding of what makes content engaging, entertaining and shareable. Work with the editorial and social team to produce and shoot original, relatable and entertaining content ideas that reflect the interests, experiences and conversations shaping Glamour’s audience. Identify emerging beauty, lifestyle and cultural trends, internet conversations and viral moments, and turn them into timely editorial and social opportunities. Create ideas for short-form video, social series, explainers, interviews, reviews, tutorials, street-style content, challenges and other engaging formats; work closely with the social, video, SEO and commerce teams to develop ideas and translate lifestyle and beauty content across multiple platforms and formats. Co-ordinate and project manage the development and execution of editorial and social content ideas, series and franchises – liaising with social and video teams, editorial and stylists. Oversee social shoot production and post-production, and work with the social media manager on publishing and distributing content. Regularly appear in Glamour videos and create original on-camera and social content, bringing personality, expertise and authenticity to the brand. Support the Digital Director and Senior Editors in driving Glamour’s wider lifestyle and beauty content strategy. Stay ahead of emerging beauty and lifestyle trends, launches, creators, cultural shifts and consumer conversations to create fresh, relevant content that resonates with Glamour’s audience. About you Experience producing social content and turning around editorial and social copy to tight daily deadlines. A proactive, collaborative and enthusiastic working style, with excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with key stakeholders across the Condé Nast global team. Good filming and editing experience working with mirrorless cameras and Adobe Premiere Pro. A keen eye for emerging trends, with the ability to pitch innovative stories that connect with a young, diverse readership. Basic knowledge of SEO best practices and social media strategies to maximise reach and engagement. A strategic thinker who understands the relationship between style and audience engagement. An understanding of Glamour’s voice, ethos and audience preferences. Does this sound like you?
