Project Support Coordinator - Telecommunications

The Best Connection is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established telecommunications company based in Sheffield, who are looking for an organised and motivated Project Support Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis.

Salary: £30,000 per annum - negotiable depending on experience
⏰ Full-time - 40 hours per week

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration and IT skills who enjoys working in a busy environment, coordinating information and supporting engineers and project managers.

The Role

As a Project Support Coordinator , you will provide essential administrative and coordination support across a number of telecommunications projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Completing accurate data entry and maintaining project records
• Acting as a key point of contact for engineers, dealing with queries and issues
• Managing and updating the daily whereabouts of engineers working on site
• Assisting with the production and maintenance of project documentation
• Downloading and managing relevant permits for specific projects
• Providing Risk Assessments and Method Statements to engineers
• Making external calls to arrange site access for engineers
• Liaising with internal and external customers by telephone and email
• Using Microsoft Excel to update and maintain project trackers
• Monitoring and reporting project progress and issues to management
• Using online systems to generate and manage project data
• Providing general administrative support to Project Managers

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to multitask and prioritise workload
• Good problem-solving skills
• A self-motivated and proactive approach
• Confidence communicating with clients, engineers and colleagues
• The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
