Job Description
This Financial Reporting Manager role in North Kent focuses on overseeing financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance, and producing accurate reports that help the business stay on track. You'll work closely with the finance team to manage reporting deadlines and maintain high standards in the industrial/manufacturing sector.

\nReporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Reporting Manager will lead financial reporting activities and play a key role in the financial planning and analysis cycle. This position offers a blend of technical accounting, commercial finance, and business partnering responsibilities, providing valuable exposure across both the local business and wider Group.
\nThis is a site based role.
\nThe successful Accountant will come from a Manufacturing or Engineering background.
\nDescription
\nFinancial Reporting Manager responsibilities include;
\n- \n
- Producing accurate monthly management accounts and financial commentary. \n
- Assisting with year-end statutory accounts preparation and ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and internal financial policies. \n
- Supporting financial controls and collaborating closely with Financial Accounting teams. \n
- Preparing company tax pack reporting for the Group. \n
- Supporting quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, and medium-term planning processes. \n
- Partnering with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, and Engineering teams to deliver meaningful financial insight. \n
- Developing financial models to support scenario planning, pricing reviews, and margin analysis. \n
- Analysing revenue, costs, and working capital performance to identify opportunities for improvement. \n
- Supporting cashflow forecasting, capital expenditure appraisals, ROI assessments, and strategic decision-making. \n
Profile
\nThe successful candidate will be a qualified finance professional with strong financial reporting and business partnering experience gained within a manufacturing, engineering, or similarly complex operational environment.
\nYou will have:
\n- \n
- Fully qualified - ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification \n
- Previous experience working within Manufacturing or Engineering environments. \n
- Experience within a deadline-driven finance function. \n
- A strong background in financial reporting and FP&A. \n
- Proven experience improving financial processes and controls. \n
- Excellent analytical, modelling, and problem-solving skills. \n
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities. \n
- A commercial mindset and the ability to influence operational decision-making. \n
