The Role

To off load the inbound trailers of pallets and top boards from supplier and customers. This also includes product returns also check pallets and top boards for outbound to the customer. Working hours 8am until 4pm with flexibility to work shifts as of when required.

Main Duties

• Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
• Inspect top boards and pallets for contamination and report any issues identified.
• Operate designated machinery in accordance with Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
• Follow established quality control policies and procedures.
• Complete all required quality checks and reporting accurately.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised work area.
• Report equipment defects and maintenance requirements, including forklift issues, to the Team Leader.
• Comply with all Health & Safety regulations and company policies, reporting any hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute positively to team performance.
• Contribute as a member of the Yate Despatch Team during day shift operations as required.
• Follow safe manual handling practices at all times.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

• FLT experience.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of Health & Safety.
• Ability to work independently without compromising safety, quality or productivity.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable

• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating similar machinery or equipment.
• Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
