Are you an experienced Head of Service for Adult’s Learning Disabilities & Autism looking for a highly visible interim opportunity where you can make an immediate impact? This is an exciting leadership assignment with responsibility for driving strategic transformation, strengthening partnership working across health and care systems, and leading the delivery of services that improve outcomes for adults with learning disabilities and autism. You will play a pivotal role in shaping future service provision, leading operational performance, and supporting the move from institutional care towards community-based models that promote independence and wellbeing.

Your Role as Head of Service for Adult Social Care, Learning Disabilities & Autism
- Lead strategic transformation programmes focused on independence, community inclusion and improved life outcomes
- Drive multi-agency partnership working with NHS colleagues, ICB partners and wider stakeholders
- Provide visible leadership across adult social care services, ensuring high-quality and person-centred delivery
- Oversee budget management, governance, performance and service planning responsibilities
- Translate national policy into effective local practice, promoting safeguarding, quality and continuous improvement
Your Previous Experience as Head of Service for Adult Social Care, Learning Disabilities & Autism
- Significant senior leadership experience within Adult Social Care services in a Local Authority environment leading Learning Disabilities & Autism services
- Demonstrable success leading operational services alongside strategic improvement programmes
- Experience managing substantial budgets, performance frameworks and complex stakeholder relationships
- Relevant Social Care qualification with a track record of delivering measurable service improvements
