We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic English teacher to join our dynamic department within a high-achieving secondary school in Lambeth. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of confident communicators, fostering a love of literature and language, and equipping students with the critical thinking and analytical skills they need to succeed.
About the Role:
- Delivering engaging and stimulating English lessons across the curriculum, catering to Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) and potentially Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11) in line with the National Curriculum.
- Creating a vibrant and well-resourced learning environment that promotes critical thinking, effective communication skills, and a passion for exploring the rich tapestry of English language and literature.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the English curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the school's vision and the latest advancements in English pedagogy.
- Building strong relationships with students, fostering their confidence and encouraging a love for reading, writing, and critical analysis.
- Participating in departmental and whole-school events, contributing to the wider school community.

- A qualified English teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring a love of English literature and the power of language.
- Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
