We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Teacher of A Level Philosophy (Philosophy, Religion & Ethics) and A Level Ancient History to join our Ofsted Outstanding college and become part of a well-resourced, friendly and supportive department. The successful candidate will work towards teaching A Level Philosophy, Religion & Ethics and A Level Ancient History (OCR), developing the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential. You will support the development of curriculum plans and resources, with a focus on student learning, achievement and progression. This role is ideal for graduates or individuals looking to train as a teacher who have a genuine passion for philosophy, religious studies, ethics, history or a related subject.
Candidates will have strong organisational and time management skills, excellent communication skills and a commitment to supporting young people to succeed. A good subject knowledge of philosophy, religious studies, ethics, ancient history or a related discipline is essential, alongside a willingness to learn and develop as an educator. You should be able to build positive relationships with students and colleagues, creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking and academic success.
