Location: Shuttleworth College – Old Warden

Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £30,915 and £41,085 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, People’s Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year

Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time

About The Role

We are currently seeking an EHCP Keyworker to join our Foundation Learning & Additional Learning Support department at The Bedford College Group .

As an EHCP Keyworker, you play an important role in the success of our students through:

  • EHCP Delivery & Compliance - Oversee high-quality support for learners with EHCPs, ensuring Section F provision is delivered effectively, recorded accurately, and meets statutory and funding requirements.
  • Annual Reviews & Statutory Processes - Lead and coordinate person-centred EHCP reviews, producing compliant documentation and working with Local Authorities, families, and partners to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Progress Monitoring & Intervention - Track learner progress using data systems, align EHCP outcomes with curriculum targets, and implement timely interventions to support achievement and independence.
  • Preparing for Adulthood & Mentoring - Deliver structured PfA programmes and targeted mentoring to develop learners’ independence, employability, and personal growth, maintaining clear evidence of impact.
  • Quality Assurance & Partnership Working - Conduct observations, support staff development, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure compliance with safeguarding, EDI, and organisational standards.

About You

  • Qualifications & SEND Knowledge - Level 3 (or higher) qualification with strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, EHCP processes, and relevant education, health, or social care principles.
  • EHCP & Review Experience - Proven experience supporting learners with SEND and EHCPs, including leading annual reviews and working with parents, carers, and professionals.
  • Communication & Reporting Skills - Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce high-quality professional reports and liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Organisation & Working Approach - Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing competing priorities.
  • Professionalism & Flexibility - Committed to safeguarding, maintaining professional boundaries, continuous development, and flexible working, with the ability to travel across sites.
