Customer Service Supervisor £32,000, Near Lewes, Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm, Permanent, 20 days holiday + bank holidays, Pension, Parking, Christmas Bonus The Role An opportunity has arisen for a Customer Service Supervisor to join a small, friendly and dynamic business based near Lewes. Working within a busy customer service department, the Customer Service Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the team, combining hands-on customer service with people supervision, coaching and development. You will act as an escalation point for more complex customer queries and complaints, while supporting team members to deliver consistently high standards of service. Organising the team and coordinating daily workloads and priorities Supporting the coaching, training and ongoing development of team members Helping team members work towards agreed development plans and objectives Acting as an escalation point for complex customer enquiries, complaints and disputes Conducting return-to-work meetings with team members Supporting the efficient day-to-day running of the customer service department Answering inbound telephone calls and responding to customer enquiries Supporting colleagues with challenging customer conversations where required Completing accurate data entry and maintaining customer records within bespoke systems Responding to emails and making outbound customer calls to resolve queries Requirements The successful Customer Service Supervisor will have previous experience within a customer service environment, with supervisory, team leadership or people management experience highly desirable. Experience coaching and supporting team members, managing escalated customer queries and helping individuals achieve development objectives would be highly desirable. You will be a confident communicator with excellent customer service skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive when dealing with challenging situations. Strong attention to detail and accurate IT and data-entry skills are also desirable. Due to very rural location it is essential you have your own transport. The site is not serviced by public transport. You will be approachable, organised and comfortable balancing hands-on customer service responsibilities with supporting the performance and development of the wider team. Due to the rural office location, your own transport is essential. This role could suit someone who has worked as a Customer Service Team Leader, Customer Services Supervisor or Contact Centre Team Leader.
