Finance Director

Robert Half are proud to be supporting an organisation within the education sector, based near Bath, with the recruitment of an interim finance director.

This is a fantastic opportunity for newly created role reporting to board level, ideal for a candidate with previous experience within the sector at head of finance, financial controller or finance director level.

Duration: 6 months minimum - opportunity for extension.

Daily rate: Up to £400pd (Inside IR35)

Start date: Early/Mid-October

Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 remote.

Location: Near Bath.

Reporting to board level, you will take responsibility for the following:

* Production of monthly management accounts

* Cashflow forecasting and treasury management

* Bank covenant monitoring and compliance reporting

* Oversight of payroll for 400-500 employees

* Management of sales ledger, purchase ledger and debt collection

* Responsibility for cash and investment management

* VAT returns and Corporation Tax compliance

* Management of the external audit process

* Insurance claims administration

* Attendance at Finance Committee meetings and preparation of associated reports

* Supporting the implementation of a new HR and payroll system

This role suits a candidate that is a qualified accountant and can hit the ground running on the above responsibilities.
