Cook (Maternity Cover) - Part Time  |  Garvagh

• £13.75 per hour
• Part Time - 20 hours per week (4 hours per day, Monday to Friday)
• Temporary Position until January (Maternity Cover)

A childcare setting in the Garvagh area is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cook to join the team on a maternity cover basis until January 2027. 
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for approximately 30 children daily, following a structured menu rota that has been developed in consultation with a dietician.

Key Responsibilities: 

•  Prepare and serve breakfast and a daily hot lunch for children.
• Follow the established menu rotation and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
• Carry out all washing up and kitchen tidy-up duties.
• Monitor stock levels and report any requirements.
• Adhere to all food safety and health & safety regulations.
• Work independently and efficiently within the allocated hours.

Criteria: 

• Previous experience in a cooking or catering role.
• Good understanding of food hygiene practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Friendly, reliable and organised approach.
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Access NI Check.
