The Mission

ITZA is on a mission to empower Gen Z and Gen Alpha to become lifelong, independent learners. We believe the future of education lies at the intersection of high-production digital content, robust learning science, and cutting-edge web delivery. To achieve this, we're looking for a Site Editor to take ownership of the day-to-day building, editing and quality of our sites, freeing up our Product and Design team to focus on strategy rather than page-by-page execution.

The Role: Owning the site, page by page

Sitting within Product but working across the whole business, you are the person who actually builds and maintains our web pages in the CMS. Requests will come from Marketing, Growth, Editorial, LI and Product — your job is to turn them into accurate pages, on-brand and joined up with everything else on the site. You won't be responsible for UX or site structure decisions, but a solid understanding of how pages and journeys connect means you'll spot when a “small” change on one page has knock-on implications elsewhere, and flag it before it becomes a problem.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Building & CMS Management

• Build, edit and publish pages and content updates across ITZA's websites using our CMS.
• Handle last-minute or time-sensitive change requests calmly and accurately, without losing sight of the bigger picture.
• Keep the site organised and consistent, understanding how pages, journeys and components relate to one another so that isolated edits don't create unintended issues elsewhere.
• Learn and adapt to the CMS as it evolves — today's process is manual and training-intensive; over time it will require far less hands-on input, and you'll help us make that transition smoothly.

2. Cross-Team Collaboration

• Act as the point of contact for site change requests from Marketing, Growth, Editorial, LI and Product.
• Work closely with the Product Lead to prioritise, scope, and sense-check incoming requests.
• Communicate clearly with requesting teams — setting expectations, asking the right questions, and flagging dependencies or conflicts across pages.

3. Visual & Editorial Quality

• Hold final say on visual assets used on the site, selecting and placing imagery, video and graphics that best serve the content and the audience.
• Apply a strong editorial eye to layout, imagery and copy placement, making sure every page looks considered rather than assembled.
• Follow ITZA's brand guidelines closely, applying them consistently even under time pressure.

4. User Comms & Copy

• Write or refine short pieces of user-facing copy (e.g. on-site messaging, page copy, notifications) as needed.
• Review and sense-check copy supplied by other departments before it goes live, keeping it consistent with ITZA's tone of voice.

5. Light Design Support (desirable criteria)

• Make minor edits to images and assets (e.g. adding padding around a logo, simple crops or resizes) using Figma or similar tools.
• Escalate anything beyond minor edits to the Design team.
• Familiarity with accessibility basics (alt text, colour contrast, readable structure).

The Candidate Profile

• Organised and detail-oriented: you naturally keep track of moving parts and don't let things fall through the cracks.
• Big-picture thinker: you can see how a change on one page might affect another, and you check before you publish, not after.
• Proactive and adaptable: comfortable picking things up, asking questions, and adjusting to last-minute requests or shifting priorities.
• Strong editorial and visual eye: confident judging which images, video and layouts work best for a page and its audience.
• Basic HTML understanding: comfortable enough with HTML to work confidently within a CMS environment.
• Basic understanding of UX principles and site structure: you won't be doing UX or IA work, but understanding why sites are structured the way they are will help you do this job well.
• Basic Figma or image-editing skills: enough to make small, simple edits to assets.
• Good writer: able to draft or tighten short pieces of user-facing copy, and comfortable giving considered feedback on copy from other teams.
• Great communicator: this role sits in the middle of several teams and needs someone who can liaise clearly and diplomatically with all of them.
• Brand-led, not AI-led: happy to use AI as a tool where appropriate (e.g. a first draft of copy), but always sense-checks the output and never relies on AI-generated imagery or unedited AI copy. Understands that ITZA's value to a young audience is partly about being a genuine, human alternative to an AI-saturated internet.
• Coachable: This can be your first role out of university. We care more about the right foundations and a willingness to learn than about years of experience.
