Description
- Own the monthly management accounts and provide clear analysis of revenue, gross profit, margins, overheads and profitability.
- Analyse performance against budget, forecast and prior year, identifying the key commercial drivers behind variances.
- Develop and monitor financial and operational KPIs across the business.
- Analyse profitability by client, contractor, division, sector and revenue stream.
- Partner with senior leadership and commercial teams to identify opportunities to increase revenue, improve margins and drive profit.
- Challenge assumptions and provide financial insight to support better commercial decision–making.
- Own rolling forecasts covering revenue, gross profit, operating costs, cash flow and profitability.
- Support the annual budgeting and strategic planning process
Profile
- Accountancy Qualification ACCA/CIMA/ACA
- Strong experience in management accounting and commercial finance.
- Proven ability to analyse revenue, gross profit, margins, costs and profitability.
- Strong financial modelling, forecasting and cash flow skills.
- Commercially minded with the confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to turn financial analysis into clear recommendations and actions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial performance to non–finance stakeholders.
- Excellent Excel and analytical capability.
