SEN Teaching Assistant – Bristol | Full-Time | Immediate & September Starts

Protocol Education is currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work in welcoming schools across Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children while working in supportive and rewarding educational environments.

Whether you're an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or have worked in a role supporting children or young people with additional needs, we'd love to hear from you.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Supporting children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and complex learning difficulties.
• Working alongside teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored learning and behaviour support.
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
• Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
• Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom.

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have at least 6 months' experience working with children or young people in an SEN, education, childcare, or support setting.
• Have experience supporting pupils with additional needs or SEND.
• Are patient, caring, resilient, and adaptable.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
