Vehicle Technician - BYD

As part of a fresh, forward-thinking team, you’ll play a key role in shaping how the site operates from day one, helping to set high standards and build a strong team culture.

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join us at this exciting stage.

As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vehicles, with a strong focus on electric and hybrid systems. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service and ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards.

Hours: 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday i.e. 42.5 hours per week. 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid).

Salary: £33,000 to £36,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.

• Work on electric and hybrid vehicle systems (training provided if needed).

• Carry out vehicle health checks and report findings.

• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to manufacturer standards.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Ideally, we are looking for:

• Qualified Vehicle Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred).

• Previous experience in a workshop or dealership environment.

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

• Interest in electric vehicle technology (EV experience is a bonus).

• Full UK driving licence.

• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
