Accounts Senior
Location: Lancaster
Salary: From £35,000 plus performance-based bonus (dependent on experience)
Hours: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday Experience: AAT qualified (or above) or QBE, with 3+ years’ UK practice experience
The Opportunity
A growing accountancy practice is looking for a versatile Accounts Senior to join the team. This is a varied, hands-on role working across a broad client base, from sole traders through to limited companies, supporting both accounts and tax compliance.
What you will be doing
- Managing bookkeeping and preparing VAT returns for a portfolio of clients
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
- Preparing corporation tax computations and corporation tax returns
- Preparing self assessment tax returns
- Supporting the wider team with ad-hoc work as required
What we are looking for
- AAT qualified (or above), or qualified by experience (QBE)
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice
- Comfortable working across a varied workload and supporting different areas of the business
- Strong attention to detail, good organisation, and the ability to manage deadlines
