Drama Teacher (ECT) - York
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Drama Teacher (ECT) to join a supportive and high-performing secondary school in York , well known for its strong pastoral care, positive behaviour culture, and commitment to the arts.
• Full-time Drama Teacher (ECT) from January 2026
• High-achieving secondary school in York
• Excellent ECT induction, mentoring, and CPD support
This is an excellent opportunity for an Early Career Teacher to begin their teaching career within a welcoming Performing Arts Department that values creativity, collaboration, and professional growth. Drama is a popular subject within the school, with strong uptake at KS4 and enrichment opportunities including productions and workshops.
The successful ECT will teach Drama across KS3–KS4 , with structured support to develop confidence, classroom practice, and curriculum expertise.
Experience and Qualifications
• ECT or trainee Drama Teacher completing training in 2025/2026
• Passion for theatre, performance, and creative learning
• Ability to teach Drama across KS3–KS4
• QTS (or pending QTS)
• Commitment to reflective practice and professional development
• Eligibility to work in the UK
