On-Site Electrician

Electrician – HMP Deerbolt (Barnard Castle) DL12 9BG

£30,866 – £36,135 + 15% weekend allowance

Permanent Electrician needed at HMP Deerbolt , Bowes Road, Barnard Castle.

Hours: 39 per week

• 07:30–16:00
• Fri: 07:30–15:00
• 1 in 3 weekends on rota (+15% pay)

The job

• Electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs
• Minor works and like‑for‑like replacements
• Testing & inspections to BS7671
• Safe, planned work in a secure environment

What you need

• Level 2 Electrical qualification
• 18th Edition (17th considered with upskilling)
• Good H&S knowledge
• Electrical maintenance experience
• Basic IT skills

Prison security clearance and Standard DBS required (fully supported by Amey).
