Tissue Viability Nurse Lead- Suffolk Community

Are you an experienced nurse with a background in Tissue Viability looking for a new opportunity to be part of a evolving Tissue Viability Team? Then we would like to hear from you.

We are seeking a new Band 7 Senior Tissue Viability nurse to lead the Suffolk Community TVN team. You will work closely with Community Nursing leads and fellow senior TVNs, provide advanced evidenced based wound care, undertake monthly audits and work with the Harm Free Lead and community matron to facilitate change across the service

Main duties of the job
  • To work as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Tissue Viability at Ipswich Hospital by providing expert specialist advice on tissue viability issues through both direct and indirect patient care. The role will also require cross site working at Colchester Hospital and in the Community, working with the other Harm Free Care Leads at ESNEFT to drive strategic improvement specific to Tissue Viability
  • To facilitate evidence based practice on wound management, the prevention and management of pressure ulcers and patient requiring Topical Negative Pressure Therapy.
  • Monitor and improve patient outcomes relating to tissue viability through pressure ulcer incidence & pressure relieving equipment audits.
  • To assist with the co-ordination and provision of tissue viability education throughout ESNEFT.
