Join YMCA North Tyneside as a Housing Safety & Compliance Officer and play a key role in ensuring our residential properties meet the highest legal and safety standards. What you’ll do:

• Conduct thorough on-site inspections covering gas, electrical, fire safety, asbestos, and water systems

• Maintain accurate compliance records and ensure documentation meets housing regulations (including HHSRS)

• Work with property teams to raise repairs, monitor progress, and complete re-inspections

• Produce clear, detailed compliance reports with photographic evidence

What you’ll bring:

• Full UK driving licence and access to a business-insured vehicle

• Strong knowledge of building safety regulations and housing legislation

• Experience carrying out detailed property inspections

• Excellent communication skills and confidence working with tenants, managers, and partners

• Strong IT skills, including Word, Email, databases, and advanced Excel

• (Desirable) Understanding of supported accommodation or social housing frameworks

• You will be required to pass a DBS check
