A follow-on nightly maternity nurse role supporting a 12-week-old baby with feeding, routines and healthy sleep habits.
Job Summary
This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Nightly Maternity Nurse to provide follow-on support to a returning Eden family. The family have previously worked with two of our maternity nurses and are now looking for someone to continue building on the excellent foundations already established. Their 12-week-old son is bottle fed and generally feeding every three hours, however the family would appreciate support bringing more consistency to his daytime naps and helping him progress towards longer overnight sleep. They are looking for a knowledgeable maternity nurse who can offer calm, evidence-based guidance around routines, feeding and settling, whilst remaining responsive to their baby's individual needs. The family have also begun exploring whether mild reflux may be contributing to his sleep and settling.
This role would suit a warm, experienced professional who enjoys supporting families beyond the newborn stage, helping babies establish healthy sleep habits whilst giving parents reassurance and confidence. Job Specification
• Providing overnight care for a 12-week-old baby
• Supporting the development of healthy feeding and sleep routines
• Offering evidence-based guidance on settling and sleep habits
• Monitoring the baby's wellbeing and supporting the family with any feeding concerns
• Managing all nursery duties related to the baby overnight Candidate Specification
• Experienced Nightly Maternity Nurse with excellent newborn knowledge
• Strong understanding of infant sleep and routine development
• Calm, reassuring and professional
• Confident providing practical, evidence-based guidance
