Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Newcastle
Pay: £100-£130 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are working with respected educational institutes in Newcastle to recruit a Cover Supervisor . We are keen to appoint a confident and adaptable individual who can supervise lessons, maintain positive behaviour, and ensure students remain focused and engaged in their learning.

The Cover Supervisor (CS) is going to provide valuable classroom experience and is ideal for individuals considering a long-term career in education.

Responsibilities of CS:

* Deliver pre-planned lesson activities in the absence of the regular teacher
* Maintain a calm, productive, and respectful learning environment
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and expectations
* Monitor student participation and encourage engagement with learning tasks
* Record attendance and report any concerns to appropriate staff members
* Support the smooth day-to-day running of lessons across different subjects

Requirements for CS:

* Experience working with children or young people is desirable
* Ability to lead a classroom with confidence and professionalism
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Comfortable adapting to different subjects and age groups
* Good organisational skills and a proactive approach to work
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
