Primary School Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support - ADHD & Behavioural Needs)

Integration: Part-time/flexible integration available this term
Pay: From £92.63 per day (weekly pay)

We are working with primary schools in the NP7 area seeking dedicated, resilient, and positive Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with ADHD and challenging behaviours.

This is a rewarding role suited to individuals who can remain calm under pressure, build strong relationships, and support pupils in managing their emotions and behaviours effectively.

About the Role
- Provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with ADHD and behavioural challenges
- Support focus, engagement, and emotional regulation
- Implement behaviour strategies and individual support plans
- Use positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques
- Maintain structure, routine, and clear expectations
- Support transitions and classroom participation
- Work closely with teaching staff and SENCo
- Help create a safe and consistent learning environment

Skills & Experience
- Experience with ADHD and/or challenging behaviour
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Ability to build rapport and trust
- Understanding of safeguarding and wellbeing
- Calm, consistent, and confident approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proactive and adaptable attitude
