We are seeking a skilled Senior Practitioner to manage complex cases and support social workers, helping to drive meaningful outcomes for children and families. What you will do:

* Manage and provide oversight on complex Children in Care and Care Leaver cases, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and care planning regulations.
* Provide mentoring, coaching, and case consultation to social workers, including newly qualified social workers and less experienced practitioners.
* Support permanence planning through reunification, Special Guardianship Orders, Placement with Parents arrangements, long-term fostering, and adoption pathways.
* Lead on complex safeguarding matters, placement stability concerns, care proceedings, and risk management activities.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

* Social Work qualification (BA, BSc, MA or equivalent)
* Evidence of continuous professional development relevant to children's social care

Registration & Compliance:

* Registered with Social Work England (SWE)

Experience:

* Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience within Children's Services
* Significant experience working with children in care, care leavers, foster carers, and families
* Experience of complex safeguarding, care proceedings, and permanence planning
