Are you a passionate and adaptable SEND Teaching Assistant looking for flexible opportunities where you can make a meaningful difference?

We are currently recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of schools in Oldham and the surrounding areas, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in inclusive and supportive learning environments.

These flexible daily and short-term opportunities are ideal for individuals who enjoy variety in their role, value flexibility, and are committed to helping children and young people thrive both academically and personally.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in helping pupils access learning, build confidence, and develop positive relationships within the school environment.
- Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in both classroom-based and 1:1 settings
- Assisting teachers in delivering adapted and differentiated learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
- Encouraging positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning
- Helping to create a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Working closely with the SENCO, teachers, and wider support staff to implement individual support strategies and education plans
- Providing feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress, wellbeing, and behaviour
- Supporting pupils during transitions, break times, and throughout the school day
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND
- A good understanding of behaviour management strategies and inclusive educational practices
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
- A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to supporting young people
- Relevant qualifications or training in education, psychology, youth work, or a related field (desirable but not essential)
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one
