Working closely with multi-disciplinary team comprising: nursing, medical, psychology, occupational therapy team members, and others.

Woodlands House is 20 bed low secure unit for men with diagnosis of mental illness and/or personality disorder. Many of our service users have had experience of the criminal justice system in the past. The unit is

Main duties of the job
This post attracts a RSU Lead of £1,446 per annum on top of your annual salary.

In addition to delivering nursing care, you will be actively encouraged to organise patient activities, attend therapy sessions with your patients and escort them on therapeutic leave, supporting them to reintegrate into the community and aid their recovery journey.

Working closely and in a supportive way with your colleagues as a team, you will ensure the needs and care of the patients in your unit is at the forefront of everything you do.

Job responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute and participate in the assessment, planning, implementing and evaluation of care and treatment for people with mental health conditions.

It is mandatory for you to complete PEACE Teamwork and other training directly related to the job.

You will work a rotating shift pattern to cover our 24 hour, 7 day a week service.

  • Has previous experience in working as a staff nurse in forensic mental health care setting
