R oles that require PVG Membership

Please note that with effect from 1 April 2023 , where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership . This applies only to roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above . (Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 10 and above (currently £30,030 per annum / £16.50 per hour)

The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members , and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment.

Job purpose/about the role

To be part of a team required to carry out a range of administrative and clerical functions needed to support the provision of an effective and efficient frontline and support service to Older Adults Care Management.

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

• Educated to Standard Grade Level or equivalent

The postholder is able to demonstrate:

• General administrative procedures
• Organising and prioritising workloads
• Working in a busy office environment
• Working with minimum supervision
• Working as an effective part of the team
• Ability to use a variety of standard office IT packages including Microsoft Office Packages
• Ability to use initiative when dealing with queries, including making a judgement on when to refer to the Line Manager
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of people, including vulnerable adults and those who are terminally ill
• Ability to safekeep and process variety of information, both sensitive and multiagency in nature
