Description
The Interim Assistant Company Secretary will sit within the group legal function reporting into the GC & Company Secretary. You will:
- Prepare and manage board meeting agendas, papers and minutes.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and legal requirements.
- Maintain statutory registers and company records.
- Support directors with regulatory filings and submissions.
- Manage the annual report.
- Coordinate with external advisers and regulatory bodies as necessary.
- Monitor changes in legislation and update company policies accordingly.
- Assist in the development and implementation of governance frameworks.
- Finalise the annual accounts & payment of dividends.
Profile
A successful Interim Assistant Company Secretary should have:
- A professional qualification in governance, law or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance and compliance requirements within FCA regulated environments.
- Experience supporting senior leadership or C–Suite teams.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
