The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Public Health Engineer to join a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in London.

This role offers the chance to work on a broad range of prestigious and technically challenging projects across sectors including commercial, residential, healthcare, education, science & research, and mixed-use developments.

You will play a key role in delivering innovative and sustainable public health engineering solutions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams throughout all stages of project development.

The Role

As a Senior Public Health Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, coordination, and delivery of public health systems on a variety of projects from concept design through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and specify public health systems, including:
  • Domestic hot and cold water services
  • Above and below ground drainage
  • Rainwater drainage systems
  • Greywater recycling and rainwater harvesting solutions
  • Sustainable water management strategies
• Produce technical calculations, reports, specifications, and drawings.
• Coordinate designs with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural teams.
• Manage project deliverables to ensure quality, programme, and budget objectives are achieved.
• Attend client and design team meetings, providing expert technical input.
• Support and mentor junior engineers within the team.
• Contribute to innovative and low-carbon design solutions.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A degree in Building Services Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in a Building Services Consultancy environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of public health engineering design.
• Experience working on a variety of building projects across multiple sectors.
• Sound understanding of UK Building Regulations, British Standards, and industry guidance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Chartered Engineer status, or working towards Chartership, is desirable.
