People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Cambuslang, North Lanarkshire .

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Delivery Driver, Home Delivery Driver, Rigid Driver or Lorry Driver .

- Night Shift Available - 4 ON / 4 OFF

Rates of Pay

- £16.50 - £18.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 2 Driver , your duties will include but not be limited to:

- Driving a Class 2 vehicle safely and efficiently to customer delivery locations - Working as part of a professional two-person delivery team - Loading and unloading vehicles safely (some handball required) - Completing pre- and post-journey vehicle safety checks - Ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule - Securing loads in line with transport and health and safety regulations - Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations - Following all transport legislation, tachograph regulations and company procedures - Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers throughout your shift

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver , you will need:

- A valid UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence - A valid CPC Qualification Card - A valid Digital Tachograph Card - No more than six penalty points for minor offences - No IN, DR, DD or CD endorsements - A reliable, punctual and professional attitude - Good communication and customer service skills - A sound understanding of road transport legislation and driver regulations - The ability to work effectively as part of a two-person delivery team

Desirable Experience

- Previous commercial Class 2 driving experience - Multi-drop delivery experience - Experience delivering large or bulky goods - Customer-facing delivery experience

Training Provided

- Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
