About the Role
As a Teacher of Humanities, you will bring the world, its histories, and its cultures to life in the classroom. Teaching across Key Stage 3 and specializing in your core subject discipline across Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level), you will guide students through complex global events, geographical systems, ethical frameworks, and societal structures, empowering them to become informed, articulate global citizens.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver creative, high-impact Humanities lessons across Key Stage 3 and specialized Key Stage 4/5 courses that cultivate critical evaluation, source analysis, and essay-writing fluency.
Prepare students thoroughly for national GCSE and A-Level examinations, using data-driven tracking routines and targeted feedback to maximize individual student progress.
Integrate contemporary global issues, case studies, historical debates, and fieldwork opportunities seamlessly into the curriculum.
Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress, offering constructive guidance that stretches high attainers while building confidence in developing thinkers.
Contribute to departmental enrichment initiatives, such as debate societies, Model United Nations, geography field trips, historical site visits, and philosophy clubs.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching credential.
A strong academic degree in History, Geography, Religious Studies, Philosophy, Humanities, or a closely related discipline.
Proven track record or demonstrated capability of delivering outstanding Humanities teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5/A-Level experience in your specialist subject is highly desirable).
Thorough knowledge of national Humanities specifications and examination board requirements (e.g., AQA, Edexcel, OCR).
Outstanding classroom leadership, communication skills, and an infectious passion for historical, geographical, and societal inquiry.
Salary & Benefits

Comprehensive continuous professional development (CPD), structured mentoring programmes, and clear pathways for rapid career advancement in an Outstanding school setting.
