  • Improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs

  • Developing adaptive teaching approaches

  • Ensuring effective intervention and support strategies

  • Promoting inclusive classroom practice

You will work collaboratively with the Deputy Headteacher for Quality of Education and Standards to ensure that high-quality teaching meets the needs of all learners.

You will also work closely with the Deputy Headteacher responsible for Behaviour, Culture, Safeguarding and Attendance to ensure pastoral, safeguarding and inclusion systems work together effectively.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will contribute to whole-school improvement, support staff development and help shape the continued development of Newbury Park Primary School.

Specific leadership responsibilities may evolve over time in response to the needs and priorities of the school.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has successful leadership experience within a primary school setting.

  • Has a strong understanding of inclusion, SEND and removing barriers to learning.

  • Has experience of improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs and vulnerable groups.

  • Can support and develop colleagues through coaching and professional dialogue.

  • Can analyse information, identify priorities and evaluate impact.

  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, families, staff and external professionals.

  • Shares our ambition that every child should feel valued, included and successful.

What we offer

  • A strong culture of professional development and teamwork.

  • A diverse and vibrant school community.

  • The opportunity to make a significant difference to children’s lives.
