Interim Management Accountant
Interim Management Accountant (3‑Month Contract)
Trafford Park, Manchester - Hybrid (3 office / 2 WFH)

Day rate - competitve About the RoleWe’re looking for a Management Accountant to join a UK finance team on an initial 3-month contract.
This role is ideal for a part-qualified or early-career Management Accountant who is looking to gain hands-on experience within a fast-paced and supportive finance environment.
Working closely with the Financial Reporting Manager, you’ll support month-end processes, reporting, and compliance activities, while developing your technical accounting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the month-end close process, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances
- Help prepare weekly gross margin and performance reports
- Support compliance processes including VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax preparation
- Assist with finance process improvements and ad hoc analysis
- Work closely with senior team members to develop accounting knowledge and capability
About You
- Studying towards ACCA / CIMA / ACA (early stages or part-qualified)
- Previous experience in a finance role such as Accounts Assistant or Finance Assistant
- Basic understanding of month-end processes and reconciliations
- Confident using Excel (lookups, basic reporting functions)
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working to deadlines
