Customer Water Quality Officer

What you’ll be doing as a Water Quality Technician:

• Collecting samples from treatment works, reservoirs and customer homes. You will have access to the equipment for testing in your van, such as bottles and thermometers.
• Overseeing the management of your sampling records and maintenance of sampling equipment, ensuring they’re kept to industry standards.
• Liaising with the technical scheduling team, CSWQ group, and regulatory and performance team to plan your workload and deliver the monitoring programme.
• Assisting with investigating supply issues or customer complaints if they arise.

Base Location:  Crossness – Abbey Wood, South East London – SE2 9AQ

Working Hours: 38 hours - rolling pattern (shift pattern)   

What you should bring to the role

• A full UK, clean driving license with a willingness to plan your routes, drive long distances, and be comfortable driving a large commercial van in busy environments and remote rural locations
• Excellent customer service skills for visiting customers’ homes and cold calling properties
• Excellent attention to detail for recording samples daily
• Strong organisational skills and can work independently
• An existing knowledge of the water industry, if not a willingness to learn the water industry and its processes
• Good computer literacy
