Job Title: Care Assistant
Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Care Assistant to provide high-quality care and support to our client. The successful candidate will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, provide companionship, and ensure the client’s comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support with daily personal care and activities of daily living.
- Assist the client with mobility and safe walking support, including using mobility aids such as a walking stick.
- Offer companionship and emotional support through conversation and meaningful interaction.
- Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and drinks according to the client’s preferences.
- Encourage adequate nutrition and hydration by offering refreshments regularly.
- Empty and clean the commode as required, maintaining good hygiene standards.
- Make the client’s bed daily and change/wash bedding regularly when required.
- Support with laundry tasks, including washing, drying, folding, and putting away clothes and bedding.
- Maintain a clean and safe home environment, including tidying the bedroom, living room, kitchen, and other areas.
- Assist with household tasks such as taking out bins and keeping the client’s surroundings organised.
- Provide support with caring for household pets/animals, including feeding a visiting cat and refilling outdoor animal feeders and water bowls.
- Observe and report any changes in the client’s health, behaviour, mobility, or wellbeing.
- Follow the client’s care plan and maintain confidentiality, dignity, and respect at all times.
