French Teacher (ECT) - Stafford, Staffordshire - January...
A welcoming and well-led 11–18 secondary school in Stafford is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of French to join its Modern Languages department from January 2026. This role is particularly well suited to an Early Career Teacher looking for a supportive and structured start to their teaching journey.
The MFL department is experienced in developing ECTs and places a strong emphasis on mentoring, shared planning and reflective practice. Schemes of work are well established and thoughtfully sequenced, giving new teachers clarity and confidence while allowing room to develop their own teaching style.
You will teach French across KS3 and KS4, working with pupils who are encouraged to communicate confidently and engage with language through culture, speaking and real-world contexts. Regular department meetings focus on pedagogy rather than paperwork, and support is practical and ongoing.
The school is rated Good and is known for its calm classrooms, consistent behaviour systems and strong pastoral support. Leaders are visible, approachable and genuinely invested in staff development and wellbeing.
