Registered Children's Home Manager – Brand-New Learning Disability Service Are you an experienced Registered Manager looking for the opportunity to launch and lead a brand-new children's home?

We're recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Registered Children's Home Manager to oversee the opening and ongoing development of a new Learning Disability Children's Home in Bretby.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build a service from the ground up, recruit and develop your own team, and create a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where children and young people can achieve outstanding outcomes.
You'll be joining an established and respected provider with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, child-centred care and investing in the development of its people.

Key Responsibilities

• Register with Ofsted as the Home Manager and lead the successful opening of the home.
• Oversee the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
• Recruit, lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing staff team.
• Promote a therapeutic, person-centred approach to supporting children with learning disabilities.
• Ensure safeguarding remains at the heart of all practice.
• Develop and review care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies.
• Build positive relationships with local authorities, families, education providers, and healthcare professionals.
• Monitor quality assurance, audits, and service performance, driving continuous improvement.
• Work towards achieving positive Ofsted inspection outcomes.

About You We're looking for a compassionate leader who is passionate about improving the lives of children and young people.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working within residential childcare.
• Eligible to register with Ofsted.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Minimum of three years' experience working in residential childcare within the last five years.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, Children's Homes Regulations, and Ofsted requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Desirable

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
